The Ray Baptie Bursary is awarded in honour of Ray Baptie—a full time farmer in the Guelph area, Board member and secondary school teacher that passed away in 2002.
Nora de Vos is enrolled in her fourth year at the University of Guelph in the Environmental Sciences Co-op program. Throughout the program she will have completed three co-op placements, her current one being with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada as a research assistant. In her spare time Nora has volunteered at various summer camp programs and also worked as a swim instructor. She was a recipient of the Grand River Ag Society scholarship and a University of Guelph entrance scholarship that is awarded to individuals with an admission average of 93%. Once completed her undergraduate degree Nora hopes to pursue a Master’s Degree and possibly even her PhD.
